Vineyard

The property is planted with 12ha of vineyard across three unique sites: “The View”, “The Gate” and “Belaradah”. Our viticulture practices aim to produce quality and balanced grapes while respecting the environment in which we work. This entails keeping yields low and carrying out all pruning and harvesting by hand.

The VIEW

Planted on a steep south-facing slope on shallow soil with underlying rock. The protection from the hot northerly winds and cooler overnight temperatures during the growing season makes this site ideal for the slow ripening of our cool-climate varietals.
Planted: 1998
Elevation: 301 m
Exposure: South
Area: 3.2 ha
Varietals: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Crepolino

The GATE

Planted on a moderate slope and stretches onto flat with deeper clay-loam surface soils and underlying rock. Full exposure to sunlight throughout the day creates optimal growing conditions for warm-climate varietals.
Planted: 1998
Elevation: 158 m
Exposure: Southwest
Area: 3.4 ha
Varietals: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Shiraz, Viognier

BELARADAH

Situated at the mouth of Long Gully, planted on a moderate rise, its takes full advantage of the softer morning sun and late afternoon shading. A dryer site due to exposure to northerly winds. Deep red brown clay sub soils.
Planted: 2007
Elevation: 122 m
Exposure: North
Area: 4.8 ha
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir
