The fruit for this wine was derived from cuttings of our grandfather’s original family vineyard in Tuscany [Boccallupo]. This is an indigenous variety specific to the Stefani family. Fruit is entirely grown and hand-picked on the family estate vineyard in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. The fruit was especially selected in the vineyard and the ferments left on skins, post ferment for up to 5 weeks to incorporate the flavours and tannins. The wine was then aged in new larger oak format to give subtle structure to the wine.
