The wine is pale red in colour while the nose is dominant with hints notes of sour cherries, macerated strawberries and hints of allspice. The palate is generous with layers of dark cacao and savoury notes. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 10 years.

Winemaking Notes
Fruit for this wine was handpicked from our single vineyard site approx 300 metres above sea level. This enables favourable cool climate growing conditions. The grapes were bunch sorted, pressed and vinified in open top fermenters. The wine was matured in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months.

From a single vineyard planted in 1998. Matured 11 months in 2-3 yo French barriques. A youthful cherry red. Dark cherry, blood plum and herbs such as clove and thyme can all be found in this nicely concentrated wine. The palate is textured and still quite firm suggesting that while approachable now there is still considerable upside.
